HETTIE was founded in 2011, by Chantal Mtakati, named after her late grandmother_HETTIE, who was known for her entrepreneurial spirit and effortless fashion.
HETTIE launched in 2015 as a swimwear line, that catered to women in Los Angeles, New York and Miami, then later transformed into a contemporary womenswear clothing brand, that now caters to both men and women.
HETTIE is designed and produced in South Africa and offers chić and fashionable apparel, inspired by the Californian care-free, brunch and rooftop party-girl lifestyle, Chantal most enjoyed when staying in Downtown Los Angeles.
